Audrey & Andrew’s Laguna Beach Photoshoot

Treasure Island Beach offers a unique blend of coastal views and natural textures. Set against the cliffs of Laguna Beach with mountains in view, it’s a location that quietly elevates any session. I recently photographed Audrey and Andrew here on a partly cloudy afternoon, which gave us ideal conditions: soft, diffused light and a calm atmosphere throughout.

As we moved through the session, the landscape provided a range of backdrops. From layered rock formations to wide, open stretches of sand, each part of the beach offered something distinct. The overcast sky brought out subtle tones in the water and helped create clean, even light from every angle.

Audrey and Andrew approached the shoot with ease. I gave them simple activity-based prompts rather than structured poses, which allowed movement and interaction to happen naturally. That approach led to the candid images you’ll see below.

Treasure Island continues to be a favorite for sessions like this. A place where simplicity, light, and landscape work together.
